Cher Files for Conservatorship of Son Elijah Blue Allman Amid Latest Arrests and Bizarre Behavior

Cher is stepping in to help her troubled son Elijah Blue Allman.

The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer, 79, officially filed for conservatorship of Allman, 49, earlier this week, according to court documents obtained by Page Six on Friday, April 17.

Cher claimed that Allman’s “drug dependency is at its worst” in the paperwork and asked that fiduciary Jason Rubin be given control of his finances.

“The life of Elijah Allman (‘proposed conservatee’) has significantly deteriorated since a prior conservatorship petition was filed in [December] 2023,” the court documents state, according to the outlet.

The Mermaids star claimed Allman “has no concept of money, is unable to manage his financial resources and is unable to withstand fraud or undue influence.” She also alleged that her youngest son “spends any money he gets immediately” and that those funds are spent on “drugs, expensive hotels and limousine transportation.”

The filing added that Allman “is currently in custody in the State of New Hampshire in a locked psychiatric hospital in an attempt to restore him to competency to face criminal charges in two cases across two New Hampshire counties for: felony burglary criminal mischief, simple assault, criminal trespass and breach of bail, but that is just the current set of problems.”

This is the second time Cher has requested conservatorship over Allman – the first time was in 2023 – and since then, she claimed his life has “significantly deteriorated,” according to a report from TMZ published on April 17.

TMZ also reported that Cher claimed Allman had amassed a $200,000 tax bill and wracked up thousands of dollars in debt by destroying AirBnBs with cigarette burns and breaking walls and windows.

Plus, according to the “I’ve Got You Babe” artist, Allman had been kicked out of 18 hotels for his wild behavior including acting erratically, making guests feel uncomfortable and screaming obscenities.

Allman was arrested after attempting to tresspass into a girls dormitory at St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire on February 27.

While officials at the school said that Allman claimed to be a “prospective parent,” St. Paul’s rector Kathy Giles clarified that he “had no affiliation” with the school.

As Globe previously reported, Cher recently found out Allman fathered a secret grandchild. “Elijah never wanted his mom to be in the kid’s life because of their damaged relationship,” the source told The Daily Enquirer.
