Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman is being held on protective detention without bail following his arrest in Windham, New Hampshire, on Sunday, March 1, Globe can confirm.
The 49-year-old, whose father is late musician Greg Allman, was charged with burglary, two counts of criminal mischief and breach of bail.
Police responded to a call about a man allegedly breaking into the home via the back door and found Allman, who was identified as the suspect, “seated on the living room couch, smoking a cigarette,” a report stated, per local outlet Patch.
Allman allegedly caused about $1,700 worth of damage to the door as well as $1,000 worth of damage to a rug in the home after reportedly dropping a lit cigarette on it, TMZ reported.
Allman was arraigned on Monday, March 2, and is currently at Rockingham County Jail. His next hearing on that case is on March 11.
The incident occurred days after he was arrested in the nearby town of Concord on Friday, February 27.
According to a press release from the Concord P.D. obtained by Globe, cops were called after receiving a report that an “unwanted guest” — later identified as Allman — was in the dining hall of St. Paul’s prep school “causing a disturbance and acting belligerently.”
He was arrested for that incident and charged with simple assault, criminal trespass, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct and released on personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on April 20.
