On Tuesday, July 7, Robinson — the man accused of killing the late Turning Point USA CEO while he was speaking at Utah Valley University last September — appeared in court for his preliminary hearing.
During the hearing, surveillance footage was played of an individual that authorities claim is Robinson, showing what he was doing before and after the shooting, People reported.
According to the outlet, the Utah law enforcement agent who led the investigation into Kirk’s murder, David Hull, took the stand Tuesday, saying he thinks the footage is of Robinson. Hull testified that Robinson interacted with staff of Turning Point USA and had Chick-fil-A for lunch before the murder.
Additional footage was shown in court of the suspected shooter on the roof of an on-campus building at the time of the shooting. The suspect lowered himself from the building with something in his hand as well, People reported.

Every court proceeding serves as a painful reminder of his death and the loss that has irrevocably impacted our lives and the lives of his children,” the post read. “We remain deeply grateful for the support, prayers, and kindness we have received. This outpouring has sustained us during the darkest days of our lives.”
“Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not be commenting further at this time,” the statement concluded. “We ask for continued privacy as we navigate this process and immense grief.”
