Tracee Ellis Ross has high friendship standards for the former President of the United States.
On Thursday, August 14, the Black-ish alum, 52, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! — which was guest-hosted by comedian Nicole Beyer — and hilariously called out Barack Obama, 64, for holding back his opinion on an ex-boyfriend of hers.
“I broke up with someone, and I remember running into the former president, and he was like, ‘I could have told you that,'” the Girlfriends actress recalled. “And I was like, ‘Well, you failed as a friend!'”
“Like, it was your job to say that before, you know what I mean?” she exclaimed. “Like, nip it in the bud.”

Ross, who has never been married, also revealed that while she likes to “get set up” by her friends, she has yet to ask the former first lady, 61, to find her a boyfriend.
“I’ve never asked Michelle [Obama] to set me up, which I think, perhaps, is dumb, and I need to get on that,” she confessed. “I do call about dating advice with them.”
“For me, when it takes a lot for somebody to get inside my heart and feel safe once you get in there, [it’s] so hard for me to get you out,” she admitted.
