Tiger Woods Reportedly Has President Donald Trump as an Emergency Contact: ‘They Talk All the Time’

Tiger Woods has a friend in President Donald Trump.

The 50-year-old pro golfer — who was involved in a rollover car accident on March 27 after he allegedly clipped a truck — was seen in bodycam footage walking away from the scene of the crash on the phone, allegedly with the 79-year-old president.

According to a Tuesday, April 7, report in journalist Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, their phone exchange was not surprising given that Woods allegedly has the Apprentice alum listed as an emergency contact.

“Their relationship is much tighter than people realize,” a source told Shuter. “This isn’t casual — they talk all the time.”

In the footage from the scene, the award-winning golfer was told to come closer to where authorities were standing. As Woods walked back, he could be heard saying, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye.”

Woods — who is dating Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife Vanessa Trump — then told authorities, “I was just talking with the president.”

“If someone is in Tiger’s inner circle, it’s because he trusts them,” a source told Shuter. “That list is very, very small.”

According to the insider, the 15-time major champion is “a loner,” adding: “Tiger doesn’t have a big circle of friends. He keeps people at a distance.”

Woods pleaded not guilty to charges of driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test and was later granted approval to travel outside the country to seek treatment, Globe previously confirmed.

Trump addressed the news of Woods’ car crash shortly after the incident, saying, “I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty — there was an accident, and that’s all I know. A very close friend of mine, he’s an amazing person, an amazing man. But some difficulty. I don’t want to talk about it.”

One of Shuter’s sources said that “Tiger respects loyalty,” adding that the athlete “believes Trump has been loyal to him.”

“When your emergency contact is the President,” the insider added, “that tells you everything.”
