Secret Service Speaks Out After Iranian State Media Airs Disturbing Barron Trump Threat

An apparent threat against Barron Trump that aired on Iranian state media has caught the attention of the Secret Service.

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Secret Service spokesman Nate Herring said in a statement to the Associated Press on Tuesday, August 25.

There were no other details released, and Herring added that “out of concern for operational security,” the agency doesn’t “discuss matters of protective intelligence.”

The disturbing video, which is nearly three minutes long, was titled “Where to kill Barron Trump” and claimed President Donald Trump and wife Melania‘s 20-year-old son was being “fully monitored.”

According to a report from the New York Post published on Monday, August 24, the footage included images depicting the dorms at New York University’s Constance Milstein and Family Global Academic Center and claimed to have located some of Barron’s gaming and social media accounts.

The video also allegedly identified accounts belonging to two of his classmates before ending with an ominous warning: “This is just the beginning! Barron Trump, wait for us!”

According to the Post, multiple reports claimed that a $10 million bounty was placed on Barron. However, the claims in the video about the first son’s movements and personal information haven’t been independently verified, nor have the reports of the bounty.
