Priscilla Presley believes her family has drifted apart in the years following the death of her and Elvis Presley‘s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

According to a report published by TMZ on Wednesday, May 6, the 80-year-old made the claim during an onstage conversation about her life and career at the International Theater at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on Saturday, May 2. She was joined by her son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, 39.

Per audio obtained by the outlet, the Dallas alum said that ever since Lisa Marie died in 2023 at age 54, her family members haven’t spent as much time together.

“It’s kind of separating us, in a way, because we would get together and have meals,” she explained, adding that Lisa Marie’s 17-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood have not been around due to their dating lives.

“Even though we’re close…” she began, before Garcia added that Lisa Marie’s 27-year-old son Ben Keough‘s death by suicide in 2020 “was the first thing that separated us, when you would think that would be something that should bring everybody together, that somehow separated us further because everybody grieves in different ways and everybody put blame on somebody in different ways and felt different ways about it. Somehow that separated us further.”

Tensions within the Presley family have been reported before.

As Globe previously reported, Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough slammed her grandmother Priscilla for her behavior in the wake of Lisa Marie’s death.

In court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court of California last year, Riley, 36, claimed Lisa Marie asserted that Priscilla “financially and personally betrayed” her.

Lisa Marie was the sole heir to Elvis’ fortune. Priscilla launched a legal battle following her daughter’s passing, challenging the validity of an amendment Lisa Marie made to her will in 2016 which removed Priscilla and instead appointed Riley and her late brother, Ben, to the role.

Keough and her grandmother eventually reached a settlement, per People, with Priscilla getting a $1 million lump sum, as well as $100,000 a year to be a special advisor to Keough.
