President Donald Trump’s wife, Melania Trump, is reportedly doing things her own way now.
In the Sunday, April 12, edition of Rob Shuter’sNaughty But Nice Substack, a source revealed the first lady, 55, “doesn’t trust anyone including her husband,” and “feels like she has to protect herself.”
“She’s building her own team now,” the source explained. “People loyal to her — not the system.”
The source noted that the demolition of the White House’s East Wing — which traditionally houses the first lady’s offices — is a visual representation of how she has felt pushed to the side.

“It’s been torn apart. At first, she didn’t care,” the source noted. “Now she sees it as a sign of how little they value her. That hit her.”
“She’s done staying quiet. She’s speaking for herself now,” the source added. “No handlers. No filters. Just Melania. She’s not playing the role anymore. She’s writing her own story.”
However, the source said that Melania’s shift has made some people nervous.
“They’re scared of her,” the source alleged. “She’s a loose cannon — no one knows what she’ll do next.”

As Globe previously reported, Melania made a rare public address to the nation — livestreamed by the White House — on Thursday, April 9, in which she insisted, “The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today” and stated she’s “not Epstein’s victim.”
Melania also said that she “never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice [Ghislaine] Maxwell,” claiming her email correspondence with the latter, 64 “cannot be categorized as anything more than casual correspondence.”
Additionally, she denied rumors that the late convicted sex offender introduced her to the commander-in-chief, 79.
