The former congresswoman, 52, placed the blame squarely on Trump, 80, during an interview TMZ published Wednesday, November 4, following Democratic victories that gave the party control of both the House and Senate.
“It’s Donald Trump’s fault,” Greene said in a video shared by the outlet.
She argued that Trump had encouraged Americans to vote as though his name appeared on the ballot, only for voters to turn against Republicans.
In the TMZ video, Greene also criticized GOP lawmakers for “cheerleading, clapping like baby seals” rather than confronting problems such as health insurance costs, inflation and foreign wars.
She urged Republicans to focus on fulfilling campaign promises instead of trying to win Trump’s approval or secure invitations to Mar-a-Lago.
On Tuesday, November 3, Greene shared a video of a different interview on X, writing, “The midterms are just the beginning. Let me explain what happens after tonight’s elections and why every American should be paying attention.”
In the footage, Greene warned that Democratic control of Congress “will change things drastically.”
She also raised concerns about the outgoing Congress voting on government funding and the National Defense Authorization Act before newly elected lawmakers take office.

“We’re going to have this disgusting lame duck session where the members of Congress that lost and the senators that lost are still there with their voting cards,” she said in the video.
Her post drew supportive reactions in the comment section.
“Bravo Marjorie. Your country before party is a lesson to generations to come! Hope to see you back in Politics. The US need brave politicians like you,” one person wrote.
Another commenter declared, “Marjorie Taylor is the only one that [is] speaking the truth right now.”
A third wrote, “What happens is this administration and the Iran War was rejected.”
