Kumail Nanjiani Addresses Rumors of His Affair With Michelle Obama, Says She’s ‘Slumming It’
Kumail Nanjiani is opening up about his relationship with a former first lady.
“There was a rumor going around last year that I was having an affair with Michelle Obama,” the Eternals star, 47, revealed on an episode of Caleb Hearon’s So True podcast which was released on Thursdsay, December 25.
“I was so excited,” the comedian confessed, adding that a friend pulled his wife, Emily Gordon “aside and was like, ‘Hey, so I heard that Kumail and Michelle Obama are like, doing it.’ And she wasn’t even upset.”
“Multiple people brought it up to me,” Nanjiani said, before setting the record straight. “I’ve never even met Michelle Obama.”
Hearon, 30, brought up rumors that Michelle’s husband, Barack, was “stepping out with Jen Aniston.”
“I don’t know” if it’s true, he conceded, “but what I’m saying is … you’re up there with Jen Aniston in terms of affair rumors.”
Nanjiani joked that Michelle would be “slumming it” if the rumors were true.
