Kid Rock is opening up about his friendship with President Donald Trump, revealing the president has become his go-to late-night drunk dial — and that the POTUS, 80, always answers.
In a new interview with Sky News, as part of the network’s documentary, Trump’s America: 250 Years in the Making, Kid Rock, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, called his friendship with Trump “[expletive] awesome.”
The singer-songwriter, 55, also revealed that he has a “trick” when it comes to reaching out to Trump via the telephone.
“It’s one of my late night drinking tricks because I know when to get him,” Kid Rock said of sending Trump a text or giving him a call.
“He’s so gracious, he always picks up,” he continued, adding, “or he’ll call and check in just to shoot the [expletive].”
The “Bawitdaba” singer added that he’s developed a pattern of phoning Trump when it’s close to midnight: “If I’m sitting around having some beers if it’s like 11, 12, on a Friday or Saturday, I know he’s up.”

Kid Rock revealed both he and the Apprentice alum get by on just “five hours” of sleep a night. He added that their discussions don’t involve politics.
“He’s not calling me to [ask], ‘Hey, what should we do in Iran, Bob?’ I don’t get those calls,” he said.
Ultimately, Kid Rock had nothing but pleasant things to say about his political pal.
“I enjoy the hell out of hanging out with him and talking with him and just having a front row seat to the greatest “[expletive] awesome” show on earth.”
Kid Rock also blasted the criticism of Trump, saying the politician is “making so much money … ’cause he’s a businessman, he’s smart.”
“He did that before he was President, and I know his heart and soul. His concern is for this country, period. This country first and I think every leader in any country should be that for their country,” he concluded.
