Joseph Duggar is concerned about what his life will look like after he’s released from jail, according to his attorney.
The 19 Kids and Counting alum’s lawyer, Al Sauline, told TMZ on Friday, April 3, that Joseph is “nervous, anxious and worried” about being in the spotlight once again after he was arrested on sexual molestation charges.
To make matters worse, Sauline said that while Joseph’s legal team does know who the alleged victim is, they don’t know what evidence the prosecutors have. They won’t be allowed to see the evidence until after prosecutors file formal charges.
Joseph, 31, was arrested on March 18 and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior (molestation of a victim less than 12 years old) and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office shared a press release on Facebook that read, “The 14-year-old victim participated in a forensic interview, where she disclosed several incidents involving Duggar that occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach when she was 9-years-old.”

The press release stated that Joseph “repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap” and “manipulated the victim’s underwear and grazed her genitals.”
However, he later pleaded not guilty to the sexual assault case in Florida.
Two days after his arrest, Joseph’s wife, Kendra Duggar, was arrested, and they were each charged with four counts of child endangerment and false imprisonment. Kendra, 27, and Joseph share four children together.
Neither Kendra nor Joseph have entered pleas regarding their Arkansas charges.
