Disgraced 19 Kids and Counting alum Joseph Duggar could be looking at a life sentence if convicted in his child molestation case in Florida.

Joseph, 31, is accused of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person older than 18, after an alleged incident that occurred during a family vacation in 2020.

Both charges in Florida are considered a “life felony,” according to The U.S. Sun.

“That means he could face life in prison if he’s found guilty of them,” the outlet reported on Tuesday, March 24.

Joseph — who shares four children with wife Kendra Duggar — could also face “a split sentence that is a term of at least 25 years’ imprisonment and not exceeding life imprisonment, followed by probation or community control for the remainder of the person’s natural life,” according to the outlet.

The former reality star is currently behind bars in Arkansas, awaiting extradition to Florida.

In addition to the child molestation accusations, Joseph and Kendra, 27, are facing charges of child endangerment and false imprisonment in their hometown of Tontitown, Arkansas.

According to the Tontitown Police Department, the charges against the couple were discovered as investigators assisted the Florida deputies.

Each of the charges in Arkansas holds a maximum sentence of one year in prison.
