Vice President JD Vance is fueling fresh speculation about a possible 2028 presidential run — and he’s doing it the classic way: with a new book.

According to a Daily Mail report published Tuesday, March 31, the politician, 41, announced his upcoming memoir Communion, which explores his personal journey from Christianity to atheism and back to faith as a devout Catholic.

“I’ve been writing this book for a long time,” Vance shared, per the outlet, calling it a story about how he “found [his] way back to faith.”

The book, set for release June 16, follows his bestselling Hillbilly Elegy and dives deeper into his spiritual transformation, including his time in college when he embraced atheism before ultimately returning to Christianity in 2019.

The timing is raising eyebrows in political circles. Publishing a memoir ahead of a campaign is a well-worn move for White House hopefuls — and Vance isn’t alone. Per the outlet, figures like Gavin Newsom and Josh Shapiro have also released books this year, adding to the buzz around 2028.
