Lillian Droniak is going to fight for her right to party.

The 96-year-old influencer known as Grandma Droniak shared a video on TikTok earlier this month and claimed she received a letter from the higher ups at the retirement home where she lives telling her she had to quit partying or find somewhere else to live.

“I’m getting kicked out of the nursing home,” Droniak said in the clip. “I just got this letter. It says, ‘You’re getting kicked out if you don’t stop the parties.'”

She held a copy of the letter up to the camera before continuing to read, “Parties are not allowed and you cannot serve alcohol to other residents. This letter serves as a formal warning.”

The management claimed that Droniak’s events were a “safety concern.”

“While we encourage residents to socialize and enjoy community activities, we cannot have wild parties. It is shown on security footage that people were leaving your room at 1 a.m. last Tuesday,” the letter read.

“Continued incidents of this nature may result in restrictions on visitors and common area privileges, and could lead to further review of your residency status within the community,” the message continued. “We kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring future gatherings remain respectful of community rules and quiet hours. No more parties please.”

However, Droniak wasn’t having it.

“I can do what I want,” she said as she ripped the letter into pieces. “I pay $12,000 a month to live here. I can party if I wanna. My girlfriends are coming over tonight. We’re going to drink and gossip.”

While Droniak said it “wasn’t a party,” she admitted that she and her friends “do get rowdy.”

“I can’t help it. I love to party,” she added. “You can’t stop me.”

Droniak shared a followup video the next day and it appeared she ignored management’s request. The text in the video read, “Hungover from last night’s party. My nursing home can’t stop me from partying through the last chapter of life.”

A rep for Droniak confirmed to People that the letter was real but the issue between her and the nursing home had “been resolved.” The home is still “allowing her to still have people in her room until late,” Droniak just “can’t supply alcoholic drinks.”
