The arrest of two Texas sisters accused of fatally stabbing a mother of five has drawn attention on social media not only for the brutal allegations, but for what unfolded while they were being arrested.
As per the official press release, police in Del Rio say Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, her 19-year-old sister, Amaya “Cookie” Diaz, and their friend, Kyandra Renee Faz, 21, were arrested and charged with murder in the death of Caroline “Caro” Peña, a 32-year-old mother of five.
Due to the severity of the attack, Peña was transferred to a San Antonio hospital for emergency treatment, where she succumbed to the injuries.
According to the New York Post, a local journalist who witnessed the scene said one of the sisters was “all smiling, goofing off like nothing happened.”
