Lovebirds Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are dead set on getting hitched once their divorces are wrapped, and sources say he’s going to infuriate his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, even more — by tying the knot in their native Australia.
In January, the 56-year-old Music Man star confirmed Broadway’s biggest open secret when he stepped out in public with his former costar in photos obtained by Page Six.
Hugh and Furness, 69, split in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
Sources tell GLOBE that the dad of two is keen to finalize his divorce and be free to marry his leading lady, who is in the midst of a split from her estranged husband, screenwriter Ted Griffin. In October 2024, People obtained court documents stating Sutton had filed from divorce from Griffin, with whom she coparents their daughter, Emily, 7.

In the meantime, a source tells GLOBE that Hugh and Sutton have been looking at options for a wedding venue — and his native land is seen as a dream destination.
“Australia will always be home for Hugh, no matter where else he lives in the world. That’s where his heart is,” says an insider.
“He grew up there and still has property there, and it’s where most of his family is, so he’s really excited to bring Sutton,” continues the insider. “He wants to show her all his favorite places. He’s even said it would be a beautiful place for their wedding — which no doubt would infuriate Deb, who kind of sees it as her territory.”
GLOBE previously revealed that Deborra-Lee is vowing to get even with Hugh by spilling her guts about his betrayal and squealing his darkest secrets.
She’s also been taking care of their kids, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19, in the coastal paradise of Byron Bay — also Hugh’s favorite place.
“It’s turned into something of a turf war with Deb trying to claim Byron Bay as her spot but he’s not having it,” adds an insider. “He loves Byron Bay. People have told him to be a little more sensitive to Deb, but Hugh sees it as his home, too — and he won’t be made to feel bad about wanting to spend time there with Sutton.”
