Victoria Beckham Advising Tom Cruise to ‘Chill Out’ on Dates: ‘He Can Be Very Uptight’

Victoria Beckham wants to help Tom Cruise find love again, says a source — but his “awkward” behavior is making it an impossible task!

“The feedback Victoria’s gotten from the friends she’s tried to set him up with is that he’s just a bit too intense,” the source tells Globe. “He can be very uptight.”

Previously wed to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes, the Top Gun: Maverick star, 64, was crushed last year when Ana de Armas kicked him to the curb following a whirlwind nine-month romance.

According to the source, Cruise’s habit of “micromanaging everything” has been one of the main things hindering his hunt for wife No. 4.

“That [type of behavior] doesn’t go over well with women,” notes the source. “It comes across as very controlling — which is a turn off.”

With 27 years of marriage to David Beckham under her stylish belt, Posh Spice, 52, knows a thing or two about making a relationship work.

“Victoria wants Tom to let his hair down a little bit,” says the source. “He’s way too focused on getting to the finish line right from the start.”

In 2005, the Eyes Wide Shut actor famously jumped on a couch in a declaration of love for Holmes, now 47 — whom he’d met less than two months earlier. They divorced seven years later.

“Tom sincerely does want to find the next Mrs. Tom Cruise, but expressing that right off the bat raises a lot of red flags for most women he dates,” adds the source. “Victoria’s told him he needs to chill out and try to enjoy the process.”
