Robert Irwin is quickly becoming the breakout star of Dancing with the Stars — and he’s earning more than just praise from the judges.
The 21-year-old wildlife conservationist has reportedly pocketed a significant paycheck during his first two weeks on the ABC competition. According to Variety, each celebrity contestant this season receives around $125,000 for the rehearsal period and the first two weeks of the show. If they remain in the competition, additional weekly bonuses increase their total earnings.
Past reports indicate that the maximum payout for a season could reach up to $295,000, though Good Housekeeping claimed earlier this year that the figure could be as high as $360,000.
With Irwin and his partner, Witney Carson, considered frontrunners — they are currently tipped to win with odds of $2.37 via Sportsbet — it appears he could be on track to hit the higher end of that pay scale.

Irwin and Carson impressed in week 2 with a sultry tango that scored 22 out of 30 on September 23, prompting speculation that he could make it all the way to the finale.
After the show, Irwin spoke to E! News about his personal life, admitting he is still searching for “the American girl” who could be his partner off the dance floor.
“My life is a whirlwind. It’s an adventure. And I would love to be able to share that with someone and to share those little moments,” Irwin said.
Carson jokingly added that any potential suitors should apply through her direct messages, saying she would forward applications to his sister, Bindi Irwin.
Irwin also reflected on his late father, Steve Irwin, telling People that he hopes to honor him with every performance. “I’m doing this and I do what I do in life to make him proud,” he said.
