Robin Kaye, a music supervisor on American Idol, and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were both found dead in their Encino home.
According to TMZ, LAPD was conducting a welfare check at the couple’s house on Monday, July 14, and upon arrival, they “saw blood at the front entrance and then smashed a window to gain entry to the home.” At the time of the welfare check, law enforcement told neighbors the family said they had not heard from Robin and Thomas in four days.
Per TMZ, the husband and wife duo’s bodies were both discovered with “possible gunshot wounds” in the house, and they were declared dead at the scene — sources told the outlet their deaths are being investigated as a double homicide.
TMZ reported that the police were previously called to the property by someone on Thursday, July 10, “for a suspect who was trying to gain entry and may have been armed with a firearm.” Neighbors told the outlet someone saw a person jumping a fence and called 911.

According to Robin’s IMDb, she had a long and successful career in the music industry, as she mapped out her journey to becoming a music supervisor on the hit singing competition.
“Coming from the record company and artist management side of the music industry, Robin first worked for Waylon Jennings in Nashville, later joining MTM Records as VP of Artist Development and Broadcast Media,” her IMDB bio, written by Tom Roland, read.
“A few years later, she was recruited to Sound Management in Chicago as VP and artist manager until her final move to Los Angeles,” the bio continued. “Following a brief stint in music publishing, Robin joined the Film & TV Licensing department at MCA-Universal Records until PolyGram Records hired her to integrate and run the music licensing divisions for the largest group of labels at the time.”

Robin was also recognized for her achievements, as she was awarded “Music Supervisor of the Year” in the reality/live television category by the Guild of Music Supervisors in 2012 and 2013 for her work on American Idol, according to her IMDb page.
