Will Arnett Slams ‘Famous Comedian’ His ‘SmartLess’ Podcast Cut Off ‘After 10 Minutes’

Will Arnett pulled no punches when he revealed his popular SmartLess podcast featured a recent celebrity guest who had such a bad attitude that they were cut off after 10 minutes.

The actor, 55, appeared on the January 26 episode of The Romesh Ranganathan Show and recalled a bad experience he had with a celebrity on SmartLess, which he cohosts alongside Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes.

Arnett described the “very famous comedian” as “a f**king rank asshole” and said that he and his fellow podcast hosts “cut him off after 10 minutes and said, ‘Thank you so much.’”

“We ditched him,” Arnett revealed.

Although the Arrested Development alum didn’t name names, he was willing to joke about the mysterious guest’s identity.

“You’ll be blown away by who it is,” he told host Romesh Ranganathan. “Because, you’ll be like, ‘How did you get Bill Cosby?’”

That wasn’t the only behind-the-scenes tea Arnett spilled about SmartLess guests. He also told a story about a comedian who got cold feet about airing her episode after it was already recorded.

“She asked us to not air her episode… at all,” Arnett revealed. “Which we were like,‘It f**king costs us money.’”

Arnett claimed “she was worried because she thought she was up and coming,” but wouldn’t reveal the guest’s name.

“I won’t tell you until we’re absolutely cut, but we were like, ‘You’re good,’” Arnett told Ranganathan. “And it turns out, we were right.”
