Newly-released video shows the moment a Secret Service agent was arrested for an alleged act of self-pleasure in a hotel hallway.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office provided TMZ with deputy-worn body camera footage of John Spillman‘s May 3, 2026, arrest at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport and Convention Center.

Authorities were called to the scene after a guest claimed the agent followed her and others from the hotel lobby to the sixth floor, then began to pleasure himself in the hallway outside their hotel room, per WSVN. He was reportedly off-duty at the time and arrested for indecent exposure.

The arrest video begins with authorities approaching Spillman, telling him to remain against the wall while pointing a taser at him. The suspect’s belt and pants are clearly both undone in the clip, before he’s placed into handcuffs.

As Spillman was taken from the scene, authorities asked him why his pants were down. His reply? “I had too much to drink.”

“The alleged conduct is unacceptable and stands in stark contrast to the professionalism and integrity that I demand of our personnel,” Secret Service Chief Richard Macauley said in a statement, per the New York Post, at the time.

“This agency takes these matters with the utmost seriousness; consequently, the individual has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of this criminal matter and a complete and thorough internal investigation,” Macauley continued.

Spillman was reportedly in Florida in May as part of the security perimeter screening detail for President Donald Trump‘s visit to Trump National Doral Golf Club for the 2026 PGA Cadillac Championship.
