Tiger Woods and his legal team are trying to stop the release of his medical records in his Florida DUI case.

After prosecutors filed a notice that they would be subpoenaing Woods’ medication records since January 1, the golfer’s defense team is fighting back.

“The defense objects to the issuance of a subpoena and requests the court to conduct a hearing to determine if the prescription records are ‘relevant to the criminal investigation,’” Woods’ attorney, Douglas Duncan, wrote in a motion filed Wednesday, April 15, according to ESPN. “This right is admittedly not absolute should the State show the relevance of the records to its criminal investigation and thus warrant intrusion into Mr. Woods’ privacy.”

Prosecutors are requesting details on Woods’ prescriptions since January, including the number of times they were filled, the number of pills, the dosage and administration instructions, ESPN reported. They are also seeking information on warnings about driving or operating heavy machinery while on the drugs.

As Globe previously reported, Woods, 50, was involved in a rollover crash near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, on March 27. According to the local sheriff, Woods exhibited signs of impairment.

Though the athlete was not under the influence of alcohol, having blown a 0.00 during a breathalyzer, he refused to submit to a urinalysis and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

He was later charged with a DUI and another misdemeanor for “refusing to take a chemical or physical test of his breath or urine.”

Woods pleaded not guilty to the charges before jetting off to Switzerland to “begin comprehensive inpatient treatment.”
