It’s long been reported that Jennifer stopped speaking to mom Nancy after the latter told all on her famous child — first in a 1996 Hard Copy interview and then in her 1999 memoir. But Jen has made it clear their issues started much earlier. “She was very critical of me,” the Morning Show star, 57, told The Hollywood Reporter. “Because she was a model, she was gorgeous, stunning. I wasn’t. I never was.” Aside from being nitpicky about Jen’s appearance, Nancy, who passed away in 2016 at age 79, allegedly “had a temper,” which the actress says she refused to “tolerate,” adding, “She was also very unforgiving. She would hold grudges that I just found so petty.”

Britney regained her voice after a judge ended the 13-year conservatorship she’d been trapped under since 2008 — and the “Toxic” singer used it to lash out at little sis Jamie Lynn. Calling her “scum” in a since-deleted social media post, Brit, 44, accused the Zoey 101 alum of spreading “crazy lies” and failing to support her when she needed it most. “As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalizing on it,” fumed the pop legend, according to Time. “She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.” Jamie Lynn, 34, also allegedly sent texts blasting newly freed Britney as a parent, claiming there was a lot her sister “couldn’t be bothered to do” for sons Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19. “Me and her throw down,” she admits. “The world’s seen that.”

The actor admits to walking out on his only child when she was 14 months old, but hints the now-57-year-old is to blame for their continued estrangement. Though they saw each other sporadically up until the ’90s, “Abigail never seemed able to forgive me for leaving the family when she was a baby,” the 88-year-old wrote in his memoir We Did OK, Kid, according to People. In 2018, allegedly after 20 years of not talking to his daughter, the Silence of the Lambs star said he didn’t know if she ever married or had children — and he didn’t care! His current wife, Stella, 69, attempted to reunite the two by sending “an invitation to come and see us,” he revealed to The New York Times last year. “Not a word of response. If you want to waste your life being in resentment, fine, go ahead.”
Kate & Bill Hudson

Blood isn’t thicker than water for Kate, who’s slammed father Bill for being “in and out” of her world after he split from mom Goldie Hawn in 1980. “Kurt [Russell] is my dad,” the Song Sung Blue actress says of Goldie’s partner of 42 years. “Kurt is a savior who came into my life.” The Backdraft star, 74, stepped in to raise Kate as she struggled with feeling “abandoned” by the Hudson Brothers musician, 76, from the time she was 18 months old. While Kate, 46, recently told CBS Sunday Morning that things were “warming up” with Bill, he hasn’t held back on the criticisms in the past, either, reportedly writing in his memoir that his “contrived and destructive” daughter was “dead” to him. “She is a spoiled brat in my eyes. She has done stuff which is just awful,” he wrote, per Daily Mail.
The Beckhams

Instead of gaining a daughter-in-law, David and Victoria lost a son after eldest child Brooklyn tied the knot with Nicola Peltz in April 2022. The amateur chef, 26, claims the soccer legend, 50, and Posh Spice, 51, have long “controlled” him and put “brand Beckham” first — but following their alleged repeated attacks on his actress wife, 31, he could no longer stay silent out of loyalty. “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding,” Brooklyn charged in an Instagram statement on Jan. 19. “And it hasn’t stopped.” According to the estranged scion, who accused his parents of planting stories in the press, there’s no chance of making amends, either. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Hilary once called older sister Haylie “my number one fan. My number one protector.” Not anymore. After rumors swirled that the 38-year-old’s new song “We Don’t Talk” was inspired by her sibling, Hilary confirmed Haylie, 41, is not in her life “at the moment.” “It’s definitely about my sister,” she revealed to CBS Mornings, calling the fallout “just absolutely the most lonely part of my existence.” While the track’s lyrics suggest Hilary isn’t entirely sure what sparked the rift, jealousy is cited as a possible factor. The Material Girls costars were last photographed together in 2019. “It’s my truth,” Hilary says of going public with the family drama. “It was honestly healing to say.”
