Talenti Gelato & Sorbetto is adding a decadent new twist to its popular Layers line with the debut of its Bakery Collection — three new flavors inspired by classic baked goods: Chocolate Chip Cookie Batter, Italian Tiramisu, and Snickerdoodle Cookie.

To celebrate the launch, Talenti has teamed up with acclaimed pastry chef and cronut creator Dominique Ansel to create a limited-edition dessert called The Dipped Whisk. The handheld treat pays homage to the nostalgic act of licking batter off a whisk and will be available exclusively at Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York City for one weekend only, March 28–30. Only 100 of the desserts will be made available each day, free of charge, starting at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

“The new Talenti Bakery Collection transforms the flavors of baked desserts into indulgent frozen experiences using the unique Layers technology from Talenti, and there’s no better partner than Chef Dominique Ansel to help bring it to life,” Bentley King, U.S. Head of Marketing Operations at Unilever, said in a statement. “His mastery of layering flavors and textures perfectly complements Talenti’s signature Layers, making this collaboration a seamless blend of artisanal baking and slow-crafted gelato. Chef Ansel and Talenti share a steadfast commitment to creativity, innovation and craftsmanship, and I can’t wait for our fans to get a taste.”

Crafted with ingredients from all three new flavors, The Dipped Whisk features layers of Madagascan vanilla bean gelato, espresso fudge, and a mix of cookie crumbles — served in a vanilla wafer cone and topped with Chantilly cream. The dessert is served atop a golden whisk, designed as a keepsake.

“I’m so excited to partner with Talenti to celebrate the launch of their new Layers Bakery Collection. I am so impressed by Talenti’s dedication to quality and authenticity in flavor, and more importantly, their passion for creativity and innovation,” Ansel said. “When they challenged me to develop a dessert inspired by the Bakery Collection, I wanted to create a new and unique way to experience gelato. I was inspired by the nostalgia people have for licking cookie batter or cream from a whisk while baking, so we constructed the dessert on top of a whisk. And this is just the beginning. There are more innovative, creative treats to come as I continue collaborating with Talenti as the brand’s new Chef Ambassador.”

For those unable to attend the limited event, the Talenti Bakery Collection is available in grocery stores nationwide.
