A semi-truck crashed in heavy snow in Oklahoma on Tuesday, spilling a load of eggs across the highway, officials said.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the semi-truck was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on the Will Rogers Turnpike near the border with Missouri on Tuesday.

Photos shared by Oklahoma Highway Patrol show multiple trucks stopped on the highway amid heavy snow, at least one of which looks completely wrecked. Scores of cases of eggs can be seen spread across the crash scene.

“Fortunately, there were only minor injuries,” troopers said. “But the semi was hauling eggs! Expensive cargo right now.”

Egg prices have skyrocketed over the last year as farmers have been forced to kill millions of birds due to the spread of bird flu.

Much of Oklahoma was under extreme cold warnings and winter storm watches and warnings Tuesday and into Wednesday as temperatures reached single digits, with wind chill factors in negative territory.

Local and state authorities warned motorists of icy road conditions. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Tuesday evening that troopers had responded to 237 non-injury crashes statewide throughout the day, plus 59 crashes with injuries, and another 170 motorist assists.
