A Champions Cup rugby game was delayed on Sunday after a parachutist became stuck dangling from the roof of the Stadium de Toulouse in France.

The start of a match between French team Toulouse and English team Sale during the annual European Rugby Champions Cup was delayed by about half an hour following a mishap during a pre-match display by multiple parachutists.

Some of the parachutists landed safely on the field, while the one carrying the match ball got his parachute caught on the roof of the Stadium de Toulouse.

A video shared by X user Anouk Pohlmann shows the parachutist dangling from the roof some 50 feet over the heads of fans in the stands.

Numerous other videos shared across social media showed firefighters using a ladder truck to rescue the parachutist, who was reportedly a member of the French military.

Once the match got underway, Toulouse won 38–15.
