A professional cornhole player, who happens to also be a quadruple amputee, has been arrested and charged with murder in Maryland.
Dayton James Webber, 27, was taken into custody in Charlottesville, Virginia, in connection to the Sunday, March 22, shooting death of Bradrick Michael Wells, according to Fox5 DC.
Webber was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, two counts of assault in the first degree, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The cornhole player is accused of “intentionally and with premeditated malice killing Bradrick Wells,” the outlet reported.
According to two eyewitnesses, Webber was driving a vehicle with Wells sitting in the front passenger seat when an argument broke out. The witnesses, who were seated in the back seat, allege that the suspect drew a firearm and shot Wells twice in the head before pulling the car over.
The witnesses then exited the vehicle and contacted police. Webber allegedly drove off with Wells still in the car.
The victim’s body was later discovered on the side of the road.
“It’s early in the investigation, but there’s no evidence to suggest anyone else was involved in the shooting and that he acted alone,” Diane Richardson of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement, per Fox5 DC.

Webber reportedly lost his limbs as an infant after developing a bacterial infection.
“Something I’ve been doing my whole life is overcoming things that people didn’t think I could,” he said in a 2023 profile with ESPN’s SC Featured.
While police have not revealed how he could have pulled the gun while driving, Webber posted a video of himself firing a weapon on YouTube in 2024.
