Longtime TV cop Kim Delaney’s husband was arrested in California after police responded to an alleged domestic disturbance at the couple’s L.A.-area apartment complex — nearly a year after the NYPD Blue alum was accused of attempting to run him over with her car.

James Morgan, 55, was collared at the scene on Feb. 8 for purportedly obstructing or delaying a public officer after multiple 911 calls were made. He was booked at the Marina del Rey sheriff’s station and released the following morning, Page Six reported at the time.
Delaney, 64, had filed for divorce just five months after the couple’s October 2022 wedding, alleging emotional and physical abuse, and successfully sought a temporary restraining order.
“Whenever James gets mad, which is often, he will shout loudly, push me, hit me, pull my hair. Neighbors have heard the noise & intervened often in the past year. The Sheriff came in March 2022 and many times in 2023,” she claimed in the request, per the LA Times.

However, the temporary restraining order was dropped after neither party appeared in court in May 2023 to formalize or extend it. The divorce case was also reportedly removed from the court calendar for the same reason — and she professed love for her husband in an Instagram post nearly two years later.
In March 2025, Delaney was accused of felony assault for allegedly trying to mow down Morgan — but a prosecutor ultimately declined to file charges, citing a lack of evidence. During the same supposed dust-up, Morgan was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor spousal battery, but in the end, he, too, did not face charges.

Troubled Delaney was sued for unspecified damages by motorcyclist Dzhamal Badalov in January 2024 over an alleged boozy hit-and-run in L.A. in November 2022 — but the star has denied any wrongdoing.
Yet, she had earlier reached a deal with prosecutors in relation to the alleged incident and was ordered to complete 50 hours of a drunk driving program and 50 hours of community service as part of a 12-month diversion program, according to Radar.
The former All My Children soap starlet also served two stints in rehab for alcohol abuse in 2003 and 2006.
