Matthew Perry’s Gravesite Finally Gets Marker More Than 2 Years After His Death

Matthew Perry finally has a grave marker.

“Matthew Langford Perry August 19, 1969 – October 28, 2023,” the simple new plaque reads, as seen in exclusive photos obtained by Globe. “Much Loved -Friend-”

Perry’s final resting place is located near those of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds in the Sanctuary of Treasured Love section of Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills section of L.A.

While it’s unclear exactly when the bronze plaque was added, Globe previously reported the absence of a marker on his two-year death anniversary.

The Friends star was found unconscious in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades home. Despite efforts to revive the beloved actor, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an autopsy, the actor’s cause of death was ruled the acute effects of ketamine.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” Perry’s Friends costars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer said in a joint statement to People at the time. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

Perry was 54.
