Kim Kardashian Feels ‘Defeated’ After ‘Worst’ Year Yet, Worries Finding Love May Be ‘Impossible’

Kim Kardashian is starting 2026 on shaky ground. After what an insider called her “worst” year yet, the Skims founder is feeling “defeated” and concerned she may never find love again, the Daily Mail reported on Thursday, January 1.

On paper, Kardashian’s 2025 was full of milestones. She graduated law school, landed her first acting role in Ryan Murphy’s legal series All Fair, and the show was recently picked up for a second season.

But an insider told the outlet that Kardashian’s failed California bar exam was a “massive blow to her ego,” and raising her four children with ex-husband Kanye West — North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — has been “tough.”

This year “has been so trying that she does not know what she will do if 2026 is worse,” claimed the insider.

“She loves her kids, but along with the rest of her life being so busy, it has been a struggle while dealing with everything,” the insider continued. “It’s tough co-parenting with Kanye.”

In October, Kardashian, 45, spoke out about her issues with the rapper, 48, in an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, noting that she raises their kids “full time” and hadn’t heard or seen West in a “couple months.”

“It’s not easy, no matter what, co-parenting with anyone — it’s just the one thing that gets me is that there’s this narrative that I keep the kids away from him. I’ve never once done that,” she said.

The insider also told the Daily Mail Kardashian is eager to “find love again” but feels that she “can’t have it all.”

“She’s not getting any younger and is stuck in her ways, and to find someone that would meet her in the middle and be an important man in her life to her and her kids might just be impossible,” the insider said.

Adding to her struggles, Kardashian opened up in a December 2025 episode of her family’s hit reality show, The Kardashians, about a back injury she was suffering from.

“I’ve hit a wall. I’m like absolutely gonna cry, because it’s like f**king exhausting,” the reality star said through tears. “I threw my back out, and it’s like, every time I think I get to another step, something pulls me back.”
