North West has entered her social media era: The eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has had a joint TikTok profile with her famous mom for years, but now she has launched her own Instagram page.
West, 12, debuted on Instagram on Friday, December 19, sharing a blurred photo of herself wearing a Balenciaga T-shirt, black miniskirt and boots wrapped in metal chains.
“First post,” the tween captioned her post.
Her follow-up post, shared on Sunday, December 21, showed West covering her face with her hands, seemingly teasing a collab with the caption, “🔜.”

Unlike her TikTok page, comments for her Instagram profile were kept on — and after gaining more than 450,000 followers in the first 48 hours, the comments have been pouring in. “Norths king kylie era,” one new follower commented, referring to her aunt Kylie Jenner.
“party on ya!” another wrote.
Others hinted at her father’s disapproval of her recent fashion choices, sharing GIFs of the “Gold Digger” rapper’s unamused look.
As Globe previously reported, Ye, 48, feels his daughter is “way too young to be parading around like this,” and warns, “It needs to stop or he’ll raise hell with the lawyers.”

Kardashian and the pre-teen have come under fire in recent months for North’s fashion choices, including a septum piercing, fake face tattoos, risque corsets, blue hair and a dangerous finger piercing.
“He hates being out of control and unable to exert his influence,” a source told Globe of the father of four in August. “He’s ranting and raving about this, saying Kim’s crossed the line and he’s not going to stand for it.”
In October, a separate source noted, “[Kanye’s wife, Bianca Censori is] reassuring Kanye there’s nothing to worry about, the face tattoos are clearly fakes, and this is a simple case of a young kid expressing herself and doing some harmless attention seeking.”
