Jennifer Lopez publicly revealed the criteria she has for the next person who wants to date her following her high-profile split from Ben Affleck.
The singer, 56, returned to her residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on January 3, and according to a video shared on social media, the Hustlers star was introducing her 1999 hit, “If You Had My Love,” when she began to speak about dating and relationships.
“When I first sang it, I was very young,” she began in the video. ”And I sang it with a lot of hope.”

“But I’ve also sang it over the years, I’ve sang it while I was sad,” Lopez explained. “And I’ve sang it when I was happy. But now, today, you know how I sing it? I sing it in power.”
According to Page Six, Lopez continued: “Because the truth is, if you wanted to have my love, you would have to earn it. You would have to treat me right. You would have to respect me. You’d have to accept me for all that I am. You’d have to love me if you wanted my love.”
As Globe previously reported, Lopez had the crowd laughing as she poked fun at her four previous marriages during the show’s opening night. At one point, she remarked that it has been ten years since she last took the stage for a Las Vegas residency, noting that at the time, she had been married twice.

“That’s not true, it was only once,” she quipped. “Felt like twice.”
Lopez was previously married to Ojani Noa from February 1997 to January 1998, Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014 — with whom she shares 17-year-old twins Max and Emme Muñiz — and, most recently, Ben Affleck.
In 2022, she and Affleck, 53, got married in a spontaneous ceremony in Vegas in July, however she filed for divorce from him in August of 2024.
