JD Vance Leases Portion of Historic Multimillion-Dollar Virginia Farm for Wife Usha and Their Kids

JD Vance has found an additional residence for his family.

On July 10, CNN reported that the vice president, 41, is leasing part of the historic multimillion-dollar Wolver Hill Farm in Middleburg, Virginia, according to two sources.

The sources noted that JD is renting the property mainly for his wife, Usha Vance, and their three kids: sons Ewan, 9, Vivek, 6, and daughter Mirabel, 4, to help them have more normalcy outside of Washington, D.C.

However, they will not replace the family’s main residence at the Naval Observatory.

Wolver Hill Farm is almost 500 acres and is owned by a firm whose head is Charles Kuhn, CEO of JK Moving Services. According to CNN, the moving company has handled multiple presidents’ moves in and out of the White House and is a government contractor.

Vance’s personal attorney, Chris Ashby, explained that “the rent will be at fair market value, determined with reference to the rent for comparable properties in the area.”

The rental comes as JD and Usha, 40, are also getting ready to welcome another child into the family, as she is due to give birth to a baby boy in July.

As Globe previously reported, JD discussed how his life has “totally transformed” since taking office during an appearance on the July 8 episode of Mike Rowe’s The Way I Heard It podcast.

“I don’t go to the grocery store anymore; people go to the grocery store for me,” JD confessed. “I like to cook for my kids as a special occasion, but I don’t have to cook anymore because I have an army of people willing to cook me my food.”

“My life is so weird. I fly around on a 757,” he added, referring to Air Force Two. “No more TSA lines for me and the kids.”
