Howard Stern‘s wife, Beth Stern, is looking on the bright side as the radio host prepares for a major change to his longtime show.
Beth, 54, opened up about her husband’s new schedule and HBO Max deal while attending the Alice + Olivia show during New York Fashion Week, according to a Daily Mail report published Thursday, September 10. Howard, 72, is cutting back to one new live Sirius XM show per week, while a video version of his program will stream on HBO Max each Thursday.
“It’s actually great for me, because he’s now going to start only working one day a week — so I get more Howard at home and he’s still connected to the world, so it’s a win-win for all of us,” Beth said, per the report.

The new arrangement comes amid a shakeup at Sirius XM that saw Andy Cohen take over Stern’s Howard 101 channel, the outlet reported. Stern will continue broadcasting his weekly live show on Howard 100 and working primarily from the studio at his Hamptons home.
Beth was equally enthusiastic about the HBO Max expansion.
“Oh my gosh, it’s such a wonderful [thing] — I mean, so Howard!” she said, according to the outlet.
The first HBO Max episode is set to debut on Thursday, September 17, with additional episodes arriving each Thursday, per the report. Howard is scheduled to return to his Sirius XM show on Monday, September 14.

The reduced schedule follows months of major staffing changes surrounding The Howard Stern Show. More than 40 staffers were let go during two rounds of layoffs earlier this year. One round took place in February, while another followed in July, including longtime writer Benjy Bronk, the Daily Mail reported.
Beth praised her husband amid the professional upheaval. According to Bella Magazine, Beth said that their relationship was what “feels most beautiful” to her.
“He makes everything in my life good. He’s my best friend, my rescue partner, and the biggest supporter of my life’s mission to save animals,” she said, per the outlet. “In fact, I told him just this morning that I still get butterflies every time I see him.”
