Dodgers Pitcher Alex Vesia’s Wife Kayla Shares Update Two Months After the Loss of Couple’s Newborn

Kayla Vesia, the wife of Dodgers pitcher Alex Vesia, returned to social media two months after the death of their newborn daughter.

“I don’t have much to say, honestly,” Vesia, 29, admitted in a TikTok video shared on Friday, January 2. “Alex and I are just trying to get through it every day. Every day is so different for us right now and I don’t really have the words.”

She went on to say that she’s ready to get back into sharing her life with her followers, but is taking things one day at a time.

“It just felt right to come [online] and say thank you. I am really grateful for the community of you guys and just expressing your support and love towards us,” Vesia continued.

The Vesias first announced the devastating loss of their newborn daughter, Sterling Sol Vesia, in a joint Instagram post on November 7.

“Our little angel we love you forever & you’re with us always,” they shared at the time. “Our beautiful daughter went to heaven Sunday October 26th. There are no words to describe the pain we’re going through but we hold her in our hearts and cherish every second we had with her.”

In the days since her initial social media return, Vesia has taken fans along as she took her first hot Pilates class, did pelvic floor exercises and watched her husband’s return to the bullpen.
