Caroline Kennedy opted to skip her aunt Joan Kennedy’s funeral that was held on October 15 at St. Anthony Shrine in Boston.
The only daughter of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy didn’t attend the somber event amid talk of a family feud with her cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Joan died at the age of 89 on October 8 and was the first wife of late senator Ted Kennedy, JFK’s younger brother.
Her sons Ted Kennedy Jr., and Patrick Kennedy, were both in attendance, alongside Robert, 71.

Robert’s wife, actress Cheryl Hines, also appeared alongside him at the funeral where he acted as a pallbearer.
Caroline, 67, blasted Robert back in January as she urged senators to not allow her cousin to win the nomination for the government’s Health and Human Services secretary position.
“I’ve known Bobby my whole life. It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because Bobby himself is a predator,” she said in a video at the time.

“While he may encourage a younger generation to attend AA meetings, Bobby is addicted to attention and power. Bobby preys on the desperation of parents of sick children, vaccinating his own kids while building a following hypocritically discouraging other parents from vaccinating theirs,” the former ambassador to Australia declared.
Caroline added: “Bobby continues to grandstand off my father’s assassination and that of his own father. It’s incomprehensible to me that someone who is willing to exploit their own painful family tragedies for publicity would be put in charge of America’s life and death situations.”
