Bruce Willis’ family is furious at false claims that his condition has worsened to the point where he’s no longer able to speak, read or walk, sources tell Globe.

Sources say the Willis clan, led by the 70-year-old Die Hard star’s wife, Emma Heming, 47, and including ex-wife Demi Moore, 62, and his daughters, are furious at all the rumors that he is on his death bed. Now they’re hitting back, insisting he’s got a lot more fight in him.

“They don’t understand where these horrible rumors have come from,” says an insider.

“They understand people want to know how he’s doing, but hurtful conclusions like these upset them.”

As readers know, the action hero retired from acting three years ago after being diagnosed with aphasia, which was upgraded to frontotemporal dementia just months later.

Despite the devastating news, Bruce is doing okay and can still walk and talk and respond to hugs, which he’s getting in large supply, the insider says.

“Obviously, it’s very serious, but it’s a day-by-day situation — he has his good days and his bad days.”

It’s especially unfair as the family feels they’ve been very open about letting people know about Bruce’s condition. But they’re starting to realize they’re in a no-win situation, as sharing updates has also sparked backlash, says the source.

As readers know, Bruce and Demi’s youngest child, Tallulah, 31, was called out by fans for posting candid moments with her “vulnerable” dad, including a snap of her on the floor with Bruce.

“I don’t think you should expose your dad to the public! He is vulnerable!” one commenter blasted. “Some things should be kept private! You don’t have his permission to post it!”

But Tallulah wasn’t having it and clapped back, “Today was a great day filled with smiles. I made the judgment call to show that to the world, because I know what he means to everyone.”

The insider says the family is “reeling from being criticized for sharing what they consider happy moments with Bruce — that’s bad enough — now they feel compelled to answer these rumors that they assume are either AI-generated or from someone totally uninformed.”
