Britney Spears steered her sad spiral to a new low point when she was busted for yet another DUI on March 4. Now, sources say her friends and family are praying the broken songbird will get the help she needs rather than a stint behind bars!

The goal is for Britney to attend a treatment center and “start the journey to get better,” according to reports.

Britney’s manager called the 44-year-old “Toxic” singer’s 9:28 p.m. arrest in Ventura County outside Los Angeles “an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable” in a statement and added, “Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”

Sources exclusively told Globe, “Britney clearly needs help, and people in her world are saying the best path for her right now is rehab. There’s a feeling this was a cry for help.”

Sources say the hitmaker was humiliated and broke down in tears when she was cuffed by cops.

“She was incredibly emotional,” a source exclusively told Globe. “It’s been a very hard couple of months.”

Britney reportedly “felt ashamed and embarrassed” and is “very sorry” for what happened.

Just as troubling, the entertainment news site TMZ reported that an unknown substance was found in her car, and that it is being tested by authorities — along with her blood. Sources add that she is believed to have been consorting with “known drug dealers.”

The arrest comes after an avalanche of humiliating incidents that put a spotlight on the troubled star’s fragile state.

In October, Britney was caught on video driving erratically near her home — and claimed it was a “look-alike” behind the wheel.

Twenty years ago, she was blasted when she was seen driving with her then-4-month-old son, Sean Preston, on her lap! A year after that, she went to court for driving without a valid driver’s license. The case was dismissed. And in 2023, she was given a summons after driving without a license and proof of insurance.

Sources say sons Sean, 20, and Jayden James, 19 — her children with ex-husband Kevin Federline — have rushed to their mom’s side and that the few people closest to her are drawing up a “plan to set her up for success for well-being,” according to People.

“She tells people around her there’s nothing to be concerned about. But this incident as well as so many others reveal that simply isn’t the case,” a source tells Globe.
