Ben Affleck Wants to Be Tom Brady’s ‘Wingman,’ Help Him ‘Avoid Gold-Diggers’

Ben Affleck has long admired Tom Brady‘s skills as a quarterback — but when it comes to dating, the actor thinks the retired athlete could use a little coaching, spills a source.

“He would love to be Tom’s wingman,” the source tells Globe. “As savvy as Tom has been with everything related to his life in football, women continue to be a challenge for him.”

Since splitting from wife Gisele Bündchen in 2022, the former New England Patriots player, 49, has been linked to everyone from shapewear mogul Kim Kardashian and supermodel Irina Shayk to reality star Brooks Nader and Modern Family alum Sofía Vergara.

Globe previously reported there were also rumors of a romance with influencer Alix Earle after she and Brady were spotted flirting on more than one occasion — however friends stepped in to warn the gridiron great that the 25-year-old could be using him to build her brand.

“Tom is navigating the tricky dating waters and trying his best to avoid gold-diggers,” says the source. “Ben’s been through those challenges and then some, especially in the last 10 years. He can read people and smell outright greed from a mile away now.”

After separating from spouse Jennifer Garner in 2015, Affleck, 54, dated Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus, model Shauna Sexton, musician Katie Cherry and Deep Water costar Ana de Armas.

He then married an ex — Jennifer Lopez — who became his ex once again after filing for divorce in 2024.

“Tom can absolutely learn from Ben’s mistakes,” says the source. “Ben really thinks he can help. He doesn’t want to see his friend get into an embarrassing relationship situation.”
