Renowned Chef Kevin Chrisman is heading to Atlanta, Ga., to be a “Hired Gun” at Michelin-recommended restaurant Gunshow, taking over the kitchen for one night only on Sunday May 4.

Gunshows acclaimed Hired Guns series, which began in 2013, is returning this spring with Chrisman, executive chef of Golden Hour at The Radical Hotel in Asheville, N.C. The popular Hired Guns series invites top chefs from across the country to showcase their personal style alongside the Gunshow’s signature offerings.

Known for his wood-fired approach and deep ties to Southern Appalachian cuisine, Chrismans menu at Golden Hour is inspired by local farms and the flavors of western North Carolina.

Emphasizing hearth-cooked dishes and a deep respect for locally sourced ingredients, Chrisman is expected to bring a rich palette of Appalachian flavors to the event. His food philosophy is rooted in connecting with farmers and honoring the regions culinary traditions, which will take center stage during the May 4 dinner.

Gunshow, helmed by chef de cuisine Cody Chassar, is celebrated for its high-energy, interactive service model, where chefs present dishes tableside. The Hired Guns series adds a dynamic twist by pairing guest chefs with the in-house team, offering guests a chance to sample one-of-a-kind collaborations.

A limited number of tickets are still available for the 8:30 p.m. seating. Diners will be treated to a rotating selection of plates that merge Gunshows theatrical dining style with Chrismans distinct Appalachian-inspired cuisine. The restaurant encourages food lovers to act quickly, as these Hired Guns events typically sell out.

Gunshow, in Atlantas Glenwood Park neighborhood, earned Michelin Guide recommendations in both 2023 and 2024. To learn more or reserve a seat, visit gunshowatl.com, or follow @gunshowatl on Instagram for updates.
