Arnold Schwarzenegger used Chris Wallace’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony to take a not-so-subtle dig at his ex-wife, Maria Shriver.
The former Governor of California, 78, kicked off his speech on Thursday, September 18, by explaining that the Chris Wallace Show alum, 77, initially reached out to him because Wallace’s “biggest dream” was to have his “favorite action hero” introduce him at the event. However, he quipped, Sylvester Stallone was not available.
Arnold then went on to praise Wallace for his work, comparing the former Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? host to his ex-wife.
“The reason why I know he is a fantastic journalist is because I know a lot about journalists,” Arnold explained. “I’ve been interviewed, you can imagine, in my lifetime, by thousands and thousands of journalists.”
“Not only that — I was also married to a journalist,” he continued, referring to Shriver, 69, who co-anchored at both The CBS Morning News and NBC News’ Sunday Tonight in the ’80s. “The only difference between Chris and Maria is that Chris has never taken half my money.”

As several members in the audience awkwardly laughed, the Kindergarten Cop actor took a beat before continuing, “Anyway, it is great to be here today.”
Arnold and Shriver — who share Katherine, 35, Christina, 34, Patrick, 32, and Christopher, 27 — famously called it quits on their 25-year marriage in 2011 amid the revelation that he had secretly welcomed a child, Joseph Baena, with their former housekeeper Mildred “Patty” Baena.
However, it seems Baena — who found out about his paternity when he was 13 years old — never formed a bond with his half-siblings: As Globe previously reported, the fitness model posed for photos with his famous father separately from the rest of Arnold’s brood at the premiere of FUBAR in June.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Baena was not invited to Patrick’s wedding to Abby Champion earlier this month.
