Anna Kournikova’s ‘Patience’ for Husband Enrique Iglesias’ ‘Shenanigans’ Is ‘Wearing Very Thin’

Anna Kournikova is hopping mad and demanding that husband Enrique Iglesias change his flirty ways, a source tells Globe, after an Instagram video of him kissing a woman on the lips at a 2022 meet and greet in Las Vegas went viral on the Internet.

“She’s been dealing with these headlines for years,” the source says of the “Hero” singer’s habit of getting up close and personal with his fans. “Publicly, she always shrugs it off, but her friends all know how much it bothers her and so does Enrique.”

Which is why, “it’s very hard to understand why he keeps doing this,” notes the source. “A lot of people think it’s his way of taking a stand, asserting his independence … but he says it’s just about getting a reaction from the fans. They love it.”

During a 2024 appearance on Sirius XM’s Hits 1 Miami with Mack & Jen, Iglesias claimed that Kournikova has no issue with him kissing fans. However, Globe‘s source says it’s “likely” he “doesn’t grasp how close” the former tennis pro “is to snapping over this.”

“He insists it’s got nothing to do with flirting and everything to do with keeping his fans happy, which ultimately means keeping the lights on at home,” explains the source. “Whenever this comes up, that’s his argument.”

It’s one the couple have been having for a long time, the source notes.

“Anna’s response is that there are plenty of ways to entertain a crowd without locking lips with random women,” says the source. “She isn’t jealous. What she doesn’t like is the disrespect. He might be playing a part, but he’s not an actor and her patience for these shenanigans is wearing very thin.”
