William Shatner plans to boldly go where few have gone before, reveals a source, becoming a supercentenarian with the help of the latest in science advances!
“He genuinely believes he can make it to at least 110 if he keeps looking after himself and stays mentally engaged,” dishes the source. “He’s immersed in learning about all the possibilities, spending hours reading, listening to experts and following breakthroughs. William seems convinced we’re living through a period where people will be able to extend their lives longer than ever.”
According to the source, the Star Trek legend, 95, appears especially invigorated after “being pulled back from the brink” during his stage 4 cancer battle.
Now in remission, Shatner — who was diagnosed back in 2023 — required surgery and two years of immunotherapy to eradicate the malignant melanoma that had spread to his lungs and brain, per People.
“He’s feeling absolutely fantastic these days and has confidence that he’s still got decades ahead of him,” shares our source. “He’s got far too many things left on his bucket list to start thinking about slowing down.”

As Globe previously reported, the T.J. Hooker alum even has a heavy metal album in the works!
“Thunderous guitars. Chaos with purpose. Covers of legends like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest — and a few originals forged in the same cosmic fire. This project is, quite literally, a gathering of forces,” Shatner teased on X in February. “Prepare yourselves.”
Whenever the music does stop for the reenergized icon, it may not be a permanent goodbye, hints the source: “If science one day offers a way to preserve his body or consciousness, William would be the first in line to give it a shot.”
