Music power couple Vince Gill and Amy Grant are both performing again after she went through some hard times healthwise, but sources say their career paths are taking them in different directions and the time apart is stifling the romance in their 25-year marriage!

“Vince is on tour, and it goes on till the end of summer,” shares an insider. “Meanwhile, Amy’s busy doing her own thing. She’s also touring and working on a new album, and all that doesn’t leave much opportunity for couple time.

“They may say everything’s great, but people around them know that’s just Vince and Amy trying to be brave. They’re going to be facing a long and lonely road ahead, and the worry is that it will start to get to them.

“Time apart has a way of chipping away at any relationship until it gets to the core.”

The last time country crooner Vince, 67, and Christian songbird Amy, 64, performed together was last December for their annual Christmas show at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Since then, they’ve been on separate wavelengths.

“His career is going full steam,” says the insider. “He’s had a successful stint in Vegas and now is back out on the road.

“Amy will try to meet up with him when she can. They’re already missing each other, but their schedules are pretty diverse.”

While 2025 may be a challenging year for the two, they’ve certainly been through hard times before. In 2020, Amy was stunned to learn she had a rare, life-threatening heart condition called partial anomalous pulmonary venous return (PAPVR). She had to undergo open-heart surgery to fix the problem and restore normal blood flow to her heart.

Then, in July 2022, Amy was hospitalized after she hit a pothole while biking and was knocked unconscious. The trauma caused a cyst in her throat to grow, and she needed surgery to remove it and had to learn how to sing all over again. She also suffered memory loss, some balance problems and depression following the bike accident.

“Her surgery and bike wreck were tough on them both, and now that her career is rolling again, she can’t stop,” dishes the insider. “The hope is they both learn to slow down and make their marriage a priority.

“They’ve come such a long way it would be a shame to see it all fall apart now!”
