Tiger Woods has reportedly been in a car crash in Florida.
ESPN reported the news on Friday, March 27, and described the wreck as a “rollover crash” in Jupiter Island, Florida, where the pro golfer lives.
Details about Woods’ condition or what caused the crash were released. However, TMZ Sports reported that two cars were involved in the crash and it didn’t look like anyone was seriously injured. WPTV, a local outlet, shared a photo from the scene and a large SUV could be seen lying on its side.
Police are currently investigating the incident and the county sheriff is scheduled to speak to reporters at 5 p.m.
The accident comes a little over five years after Woods sustained significant injuries when he was involved in a car crash in Southern California. The car rolled multiple times and left Woods trapped in the car. According to ESPN, the Masters winner suffered “open fractures” in his lower right leg that required surgery. He had screws and pins inserted in his foot and ankle during emergency surgery and had a rod placed in one of his tibias.
