There has been plenty of Cyrus family drama in recent years, and the latest battle in their ongoing war involves Trace Cyrus and his sister Brandi Cyrus.
On May 29, the Metro Station guitarist, 37, shared a series of Instagram stories. In the first one, he shows off the inside of a house, explaining that he has been renting the property from his sister, 39. “A mold-infested f—ing home. This is just one of the many problems since I’ve moved into this house. It’s been problem after problem. I just got clean water f—ing recently,” he said.

Trace claimed he had to put a planned music project on hold because he has to move, and that “Brandi doesn’t want to refund me my money.” He continued, “How many members of my family are just gonna go completely bats—t crazy and be pieces of s—? It never ceases to amaze me. The way that I’m treated by my own family is absolutely f—ing disgusting. F—you.”
Trace and Brandi are the two oldest children of Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. They were born to Tish, 59, during her first marriage to their biological father, and were later adopted by Billy Ray, 64. After Tish and Billy Ray got together, they welcomed Miley Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, and Noah Cyrus. The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer also has a son, Christopher Cyrus, with ex Kristin Luckey.
Tish and Billy Ray called it quits in 2022, and various family spats have played out in the public eye in the years since.
After his first angry video, Trace got back online and posted himself speaking to the camera, saying, “Brandi, don’t hit up anyone else to f—ing do your talking for you. If you want to talk, call my f—ing phone. But I’m not playing nice anymore.”
In yet another video, Trace said he had “chilled out a little bit” after meditating, using the sauna, and calling upon some help from the other side. “I had to astral project to the spiritual realm to make sure my mammy up in heaven was looking down in complete disgust at Brandi’s actions,” she said. “She’s tuned in. She’s well aware, so that makes me happy.”
