South Korean snowboarder Gaon Choitook a hard fall during the Women’s Halfpipe Final at the Milan Olympics.
Choi, 17 — who is largely considered two-time gold medalist Chloe Kim’s biggest competition — landed upside down during one of her trick jumps on Thursday, February 12. Medical staff rushed to her aid as she lay motionless on the course.
Thankfully, Choi was able to get up on her own after a short pause and slowly rode off on her own.

Social media was abuzz as viewers shared prayers for the young phenom.
“Really hope Gaon Choi ok after that horrific fall,” one fan wrote on X.
“It’d be insane if Choi Gaon would continue.. she hit the edge pretty hard. But I’m glad she could get up and “walk” out of there. Didn’t look like it for a moment,” another tweeted.
