Patrick Clancy is breaking his silence on the mistrial of his ex, Lindsay Clancy.

As Globe previously reported, on September 4, the jury was unable to reach a verdict in the case against Lindsay, 36, who was charged with the January 2023 murders of her and Patrick’s three children – Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.

While Judge William Sullivan ultimately declared a mistrial, her defense team has maintained that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time of the children’s deaths.

Now Patrick, 38, is speaking out on the highly publicized six-week trial in his first sit-down interview, set to air September 20 on 60 Minutes. During the interview, he addressed the rumors that have been swirling online, including that he was somehow involved in the deaths of his three children.

In a clip ahead of the Sunday special, CBS correspondent Shanelle Kaul said that Patrick called the conspiracy theories about the case “deeply harmful to the legacy of his children and a distraction to perinatal mental health.”

Patrick’s lawyer, Howard Cooper, also attempted to shut down speculation following the trial, releasing a statement that read in part: “Enough is enough – this spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop…”

According to Cooper, the claims have resulted in threats against Patrick and his family, with the attorney indicating that legal action against those spreading them could follow.

Elsewhere in the preview, Patrick, who has remained largely out of the spotlight since the killings, also revealed that he communicates with his late children.

“I talk to them,” Patrick explained to 60 Minutes. When asked what he says, he replied, “‘Help me.’ All the time.”

Patrick has since moved on following the murders, marrying Dr. Rachel Danis in April 2026.

As for Lindsay, she’s currently at Tewksbury Hospital for psychiatric treatment while prosecutors decide whether to retry the case with an all-new jury or pursue another resolution, like a plea deal. She is due back in court on September 29 for a status hearing.

Patrick’s full 60 Minutes interview airs Sunday, September 20, at 7 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
