Megyn Kelly is taking aim at Alex Cooper after the Call Her Daddy podcast host spoke out about the controversial Cornell 7 case.

During the Monday, October 12, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly, 55, blasted Cooper, 32, for publicly supporting the woman identified as Jane Doe, who has accused seven Cornell University fraternity members of assaulting her in October 2024. The men have denied wrongdoing and have not been criminally charged.

Kelly’s criticism followed the Sunday, October 11, episode of Call Her Daddy, titled “I am Jane Doe,” in which Cooper interviewed Cornell University professor Kate Manne about the case.

“More than 1 in 5 women have experienced rape. 1 in 5 women. So every single one of us knows a Jane Doe. Many of us are Jane Doe,” Cooper said, on the podcast. “Every once in a while, a story becomes so big and it resonates with so many people that it’s clear it has the power to change the way that we talk about an issue. And I think we might be witnessing one of those very moments right now.”

Kelly took issue with Cooper positioning herself as an advocate for women, questioning whether the podcast host had any credibility to speak on the issue.

“She is raunchy and absolutely classless, and now instead of at least having the decency to keep her disgusting mouth shut over this case, she’s decided to put some absurd person on who apparently teaches at Cornell and is an expert in misogyny,” Kelly said on the show.

She then turned her attention to Cooper’s comments about the #MeToo movement, arguing that the podcast host had done little to support women when the movement first gained widespread attention.

“I don’t want to hear any lectures from Alex Cooper about the #MeToo movement,” Kelly said. “Where were you? You were 22 years old at the time. You were creating a platform, desperate to create a platform for yourself, what did you say? You said nothing.”

Kelly went on to accuse Cooper of setting a poor example for younger listeners.

“You’ve done nothing other than endanger other young women. That’s how you’ve spent your career. You are endangering vulnerable young women,” the journalist claimed, before declaring that there “isn’t a classy bone in that woman’s body.”

Kelly ended her criticism with another personal attack, calling Cooper “a devil in a blonde wig trying to get young women in trouble.”

The heated remarks come as the Cornell case continues to attract national attention.

As Globe previously reported, Jonathan Newell — one of the seven men named in Jane Doe’s civil lawsuit — was listed as a “trained event monitor” at the Chi Phi fraternity house on October 19, 2024, according to university records obtained by The New York Times and cited by the New York Post.

Jane Doe, who was 20 at the time, claimed she had been drinking heavily and was pressured into taking ketamine before the alleged assault.

Cornell previously said it investigated the allegations under its university policies, and prosecutors have since reopened the case, per ABC News.
